Team India skipper Virat Kohli has broken his silence on Shahid Afridi's controversial remark insulting India and backing terrorists. Kohli took on the former captain of Pakistan and said,
"As an Indian one should express the country's interests, if anybody opposes it, I won't suport it"
Cricketer Suresh Raina has also slammed Shahid Afridi for his tweet insulting India and backing terrorists.
"Kashmir is an integral part of India and will remain so always. Kashmir is the pious land where my forefathers were born. I hope @SAfridiOfficial bhai asks Pakistan Army to stop terrorism and proxy war in our Kashmir. We want peace, not bloodshed and violence."
Meanwhile, Kapil Dev has also taken a stand against Afridi saying,
"I will stand by India and I'll support all the policies made by the government."
Massive outrage erupted after Shahid Afridi tweeted against India about its unprecedented crackdown on terror in the Valley that took place this weekend.
Taking the Pakistan establishment and Kashmir-based Pak proxies' line, Afridi wrote, "Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?"
